Your Baby is Getting So Big…

 

It’s Day #3 of growing your

Sourdough Starter Baby

How’s she doing?

Are you a proud parent?

 

I bet you are

 

Can you believe you are creating a life

Without having sex?

Is it immaculate?

 

Too far?

 

By today you might start to see some bubbles on the surface

That is awesome if you do

But if you don’t,

That’s okay too

Give it time

Great things take time

Take patience

 

And maybe a little extra wine for Mom and Dad

Let’s do it again, tonight

Or this morning

Whenever you started

It’s all good

 

Day 3 Sourdough Starter

Mix 1/3c warm water (see Day #1 notes on water)

With ½ c bread flour

And mix until it’s paste-like

There might be some lumps, that’s okay, but nothing too big

Cover with your kitchen towel

And set someplace safe

Away from all your kitchen chemicals

Side Note:

Growing your starter takes tons of patience

It’s not a perfect science

There are soooooo many factors that go into it

Temperature

Environment

Air quality

Water quality

Flour quality

Voodoo

Sometimes it happens fast

And sometimes it seems to take forever

But you will get there

I promise

 

A note about temperature…

The perfect temp is around 70 degrees

If your house is colder

Things go slower

If it is warmer

Things so faster
