Soul-full Sunday
I went to church today.
My church.
My religion.
I walked with my God.
I talked with Him.
I told Him my hopes & fears.
I heard His wisdom.
He told me to continue.
Everyone’s faith is their own matter. Their own personal journey to understand for themselves, the universe and how they fit into it. For me that is always found in the woods, amongst nature. He speaks to me there. He hears me there. I am always at peace when I exit the woods. I feel anointed in rejuvenating energy to take on the challenges that I have created for myself in this world. It’s a workout for my soul. I build my courage and fortitude muscle.
Where do you fill your soul? We all need to do it. It’s part of who we are as humanity to find the faith in the smallest voids of our hearts. Where do you workout? IF you don't, I can't tell you enough how much you should. It doesn't have to be a church or synagogue or mosque. It just has to be where you can be at peace with yourself and find some truth.
I once read, “Steep your soul in gratitude. Steep your soul in meaning. Steep your soul in forgiveness. Let it get richer.”
I am grateful for the life I have been given. I am grateful for the challenges that present themselves to me every day. I am grateful for my loving wife, amazing family and true friends. It is in this that I find the true meaning of my existence. I strive daily to find forgiveness for all the wrongs that I have done to others, and seek the understanding and trueness of heart to forgive others, and I am the richer for it.
Thank you all for reading my words.
